The Green Greenwich Pledge

  • Switching to local suppliers to decrease “miles” on goods 

  • Organizing car-pools for staff member to get to work 

  • Instituting a cycle, walk or public transit to work day or program 

  • Installing solar panels

  • Switching to compostable packaging or containers 

  • Eliminating plastic straws

  • Eliminating plastic bags 

  • Composting food (for restaurants/cafes) 

The pledge aims to normalize and celebrate an attitude of adjusting our lifestyles to serve a larger purpose: protecting our environment.

We are inviting Greenwich businesses to take the pledge. Each business makes a commitment to adopting new sustainable practices. Each commitment looks different, and we work with businesses to create achievable, measurable pledges. Below are some of the goals a pledge might include:
