Mission Statement
Green Greenwich was founded to help reduce the carbon footprint and energy consumption of Greenwich, CT. We strive to increase understanding about climate change through public awareness campaigns that educate citizens on the impact of their lifestyle. We also offer resources and incentives for minimizing our collective energy use, encouraging business owners and homeowners to switch to sustainable energy and conserve energy where possible.
Our programs include The Light Bulb Project, which encourages Greenwich businesses to switch to LED light bulbs, and The Green Greenwich Pledge, which helps businesses set achievable sustainability goals and share their commitment to being green with others.
In our work, we hope to fulfill our ethical responsibility toward fighting climate change. As a community that has so much it is important that we use our privilege and resources to make as significant an impact as possible.
